What to serve with beef and bean stir-fry?
This dish is perfect for an Asian-style spread of several small plates. For example, serve beef with onions in one bowl, the beef and beans in another, some fried rice on the side, or even chicken noodles.
Ingredients
- 300 g sliced steak
- 3 tablespoons of oil (for stir-frying, or as needed)
- 2 cloves of minced garlic
- 150 g flat beans
- 150 g sliced mushrooms
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons of water or chicken broth
MARINADE
- 2 tsp Shaoxing wine
- 2 tsp light soy sauce
- 2 tsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
Procédé
- Marinate the beef for 15 minutes
- In a pan over medium-high heat, sear the beef for one minute, then stir-fry for 2-3 minutes and set aside
- Add a little more oil and stir-fry the beans and mushrooms for 3-4 minutes
- Return the beef, add the broth, and stir-fry for 1 minute
