Ways to use air fryer soft-boiled eggs
These eggs pair beautifully with rich, savory dishes. A classic is to add them to ramen, where they bring depth of flavor and a luxurious texture.

The runny yolk mingles with the hot broth, creating an exquisite, velvety sip. Beyond ramen, add them to salads for extra richness, or tuck them into sandwiches for a touch of sophistication.
Their versatility makes soft-boiled eggs a staple of modern cooking. For dessert, keep the air fryer going with my air fryer cookies.

Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 egg at room temperature
Instructions
- Air-fry the egg at 130 °C for 8 minutes (15 minutes if cold from the fridge).

- Immediately transfer the egg to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.

Such a simple method and the whites set up perfectly while the yolk stayed nicely runny; made a few extra on purpose, and the leftovers were just as good the next day on toast.
Tried this with an egg straight from the fridge and cooked it for 14 minutes instead of 15, then chilled it in ice water right away. The whites were still perfectly set and the yolk stayed beautifully runny, maybe even better for ramen.
Wasn’t sure this would work, but even my picky kid who usually refuses eggs happily devoured it, especially with the runny yolk over ramen 🙂
Wasn’t convinced an air fryer could do soft-boiled eggs without turning them rubbery, but the 130°C for 8 minutes plus the ice bath gave me perfectly set whites and a gloriously runny yolk 😋
