This air fryer fish fillet without breading is a healthy and tasty recipe, perfect for dinner. Ready in less than 30 minutes, the fish comes out tender inside, with edges that are lightly crispy and golden. You can use fresh or frozen fillets, just like with my air fryer gnocchi!

You’ll see, air fryer fish fillets are always a hit with guests. There’s no need to bread the fish, and if you’re using frozen fillets, you don’t even have to thaw them: just go straight from freezer to air fryer. The whole meal is ready in just 30 minutes!

And the best part? Without breading, this is a gluten-free dinner for anyone with intolerances, and it’s lighter too. Cooking white fish in the air fryer is a simple, healthy, and tasty way to eat when you’re busy.

Tips for perfect air fryer fish fillets

If you prefer your fish less “grilled,” reduce the cooking time to 10 minutes for fresh fillets and 13 minutes for frozen ones. The fish will still be cooked through.

A good way to check doneness is to flake the fish with a fork: if the flesh is white and comes apart easily, it’s ready.

How about some air fryer chicken breast?

You don’t need to flip the fish halfway through. You can if you want, but fish fillets are delicate and can easily break apart when turned.

This recipe is plenty for two people. For a family of four, just double the seasoning and cook in two batches. If you have a larger air fryer, like a 10-liter model, you can cook everything at once.
