It's actually a generic Japanese miso sauce. Unlike in the miso salmon recipe where it's only used as a marinade, here it's really designed to go with absolutely everything.  \n\n\n\nThe delicious miso katsu, a tonkatsu pork topped with a delicious miso sauce\n\n\n\nFrom a milder version of the sauce for miso katsu to a dip for your temaki, to a seasoning for cold ramen or even for making Japanese fried rice yakimeshi, the only limit is your imagination (and your taste for adventure)\n\n\n\nThe Main Ingredients of Miso Sauce\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe miso: star of the dish, particular attention must be paid to both the brand and type of miso, which can vary greatly in saltiness and flavor intensity. Here, I prefer white miso, but in miso katsu, for example, red miso is used. In any case, it brings a lot of umami to the sauce  \n\n\n\nThe mirin: a staple of Japanese cuisine, it brings a subtle sweet note. Be careful, look closely at the label to spot the koji which will indicate that you have real mirin in front of you and not just alcoholic syrup \n\n\n\nThe sake: famous Japanese rice alcohol, it needs no introduction. It dilutes the mirin and adds a nice dimension to the flavor \n\n\n\n\n\n\tJapanese Miso Sauce\n\t\t\n\t\tA delicious miso sauce recipe for all your Japanese dishes\t\n\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\t\t300 g of miso200 ml of mirin140 ml of sake20 g of honey2 tablespoons of sugar\t\n\t\n\t\tUsing a whisk, beat all ingredients well until you obtain a smooth and creamy pastePut in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil while stirringAs soon as it boils, reduce to low heatSimmer for 20 minutes, stirring regularly to prevent burning, until the sauce thickens\t\n\t\n\t\tKeeps for 3 days in the fridge\n\t\n\t\n\t\tSauceJapanese","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/29855","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=29855"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/29855\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/26133"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=29855"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=29855"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/marcwiner.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=29855"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
